Points taken to meeting from students.
- Course starts too slow especially for full timers. Perhaps if the staff are too busy with the Ma show and undergrads starting the course should start a little later. This gives students more time to earn some money and more time to move when coming from abroad.
- Students wanting clear timetables to be given out to full and part time students.
- Would have been nice to have had a proper introduction to the studio space, all post grads together and to be properly introduced to the 2nd year part timers.
- There’s no lockers left.
- The shelves in the studio seem to be full and people aren’t sure if things can be moved or binned to make room for their things.
- Would have been nice to have a list of everyone’s names and a photo at the start.
- A notice board should have been arranged sooner and more efficiently in the studio.
- The printers in the studio aren’t very good.
- Would like some cutting mats and guillotines in the studio.
- There ought to be mac computers in the studio similar to the 3rd floor, the pc’s available are too slow.
- Some of the tables need repairing as they are wobbly and the chairs aren’t suitable to work on all day.
- There’s not enough high stool for the taller desks
- A small group has asked if they can arrange to do a pilots class in one of the rooms on the 5th floor. Who do we book through?
- Printer complaints. The system doesn’t allow for students to have full control over sheet fed printers etc etc
Ma Show points
- Should have been in a better setting.
- The building doesn’t work well as an exhibition space particularly for 2D work.
- The show wasn’t curated properly and had no end of your atmosphere.
- Poor identity.
- The building doesn’t function as an exhibition space.
- Comments were raised that if the show was to be of the same standard as this then the students would rather take the show outside of the art school.
